HEAD CAMP COUNSELOR – TONS-O-FUN SUMMER CAMP
Summer Camp Seasonal Positions – Enfield Recreation
The Town of Enfield, Recreation Department is currently accepting applications for the following position:
Tons-O-Fun Summer Camp:
- Open position: Head Camp Counselor
- Program dates: Monday – Friday, June 22, 2026 – August 7, 2026 (no 7/3/2026)
- Hours of work: 35-40 per week (hours of operation are Monday - Friday, 7:15 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.) Additional pre-camp weeks are required.
- Training: All employees are required to complete mandatory training before the season begins. Training will be held in June, dates TBD.
- Rates of pay: $18.75- $19.75 hour, dependent on experience.
Head Camp Counselor: Responsible for assisting the Camp Director in the administration of a comprehensive full day summer camp. Works under the general direction of the Camp Director and/or the Asst. Recreation Manager.
Responsible for assisting the Camp Director in planning camp activities; assisting in the daily operation of the camp program; supervising children and staff when necessary; performing inspections of camp facilities; chaperoning weekly trips; completing and/or reviewing daily paperwork; reviewing present programs and making recommendations for future programs; other duties as assigned.
Minimum age requirement: 18 years old. High school degree or equivalent. Must have experience working with children. Must successfully complete Town of Enfield sponsored First Aid, CPR, Epi-Pen and Medication Administration certification programs. Experience working with children with special needs desired.
