Business Development Manager - Central Kentucky

Responsibilities
The primary emphasis for this position is to acquire new commercial, industrial and institutional accounts by developing relationships with owners, facility manager and management companies. Innovative, goal-driven sales professionals will sell planned maintenance agreements and energy solutions consulting for mechanical systems to C-level decision makers. You will develop sales leads, qualify prospects and make sales calls. You will negotiate, estimate, bid, propose and close contracts at qualified margins. You will balance your time between prospecting and networking, managing the relationship with current clients, and delivering sales presentations
Required qualifications
You must have prior success selling conceptual solutions to end-users at medium and large size companies in a highly competitive market. You must have exceptional hunting and closing skills. You must be effective in overcoming resistance and be able to work independently without supervision. You must be a hard-working self-starter. Five (5) years sales experience, trainable, and a tremendous desire to increase earnings within 2 years on a base plus commission plan.
HVAC/Energy experience within manufacturing, healthcare, education helpful but not required. This isa great opportunity for Candidates that have a demonstrated success in developing and closing new business opportunities and a successful track record in commercial/industrial service agreement sales.
- Self motivated with a passion for relationship building and gaining repeat and new business.
- Strong communication, planning, and presentation skills. Must be comfortable selling to both C-level and technical buyers.
- Good "door opener" and ability to close sales
Required knowledge, skills, abilities
- Proven record of sales proficiency in developing and closing new business opportunities.
- A 2 or 4 year degree in engineering, business or a similar related field is desired, but experience in the HVAC industry, or building energy solutions can be a substitute.
- Solid computer skills in Word, Excel, estimating, CRM database programs.
