What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sr. Member Service Representative position at Energy Capital Credit Union?
The primary role of this position is to assist members and potential members with their financial needs using Member Service techniques'. To accomplish, this role must perform a variety of duties in support of branch operations including, but not limited to, opening new accounts, renting and granting access to safe deposit boxes, processing member transactions, assisting members with lending needs, and providing assistance with their financial needs. Acts as a lead for Member Service Representatives to assist with questions and provides guidance and best practices. This role is responsible for maintaining compliance with all required regulations and company policies and procedures, including, but not limited to Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) and Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) policies.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
- Assists Member Service Representatives by acting as a lead to provide solutions for questions
and issues that may arise. Supports efforts of Branch Manager by providing guidance and best
practices to Member Service Representatives to achieve highest levels of member satisfaction
while increasing cross-sales. Acts as mentor and assists with training of new Member Service
Representatives products and member service procedures. - Assist with receiving and processing financial transactions, including, but not limited to
deposits, withdrawals, and loan payments. Assist branch staff with opening and closing and
procedures that require dual control. Cross-sell products and services to existing members,
identify new sales opportunities, and attain referrals. - Assists members with opening new accounts and enrolling in services. Enters loan
applications to be referred for decision and processing by the lending team. - Performs other duties as assigned.
Desired candidate will
- be available to work Saturdays, as scheduled.
- Must be able to accurately and efficiently count money and make change.
- have a high school diploma or GED
- have a satisfactory credit history
- have basic knowledge of Word, Excel and Outlook
- have good communication skills
- be willing to provide prompt, accurate, courteous, friendly, timely and professional service to all members and ECCU employees.
- be willing to maintain a professional appearance, demeanor, and work environment
- be willing to maintain a dependable record of attendance and timeliness
- Bilingual a plus
