As an Electrical Test Technician, you will play a vital role in testing, troubleshooting, and documenting the performance of our electrical components and systems. Your work directly impacts product quality and customer satisfaction.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Conduct electrical testing on various components and systems using a range of test equipment.
- Identify and troubleshoot electrical faults, performing circuit analysis to determine root causes.
- Utilize your soldering skills for repairs and modifications as needed.
- Interpret blueprints and technical drawings to understand system designs.
- Accurately record test data using a multimeter and data acquisition systems.
- Work with a variety of AC/DC components and understand their functionality.
- Perform basic PLC programming tasks as required.
- Work with and test switchgear components and systems.
- Maintain detailed and accurate test records and reports.
- Proactively identify and communicate potential quality issues.
Preferred Qualifications:
Education
- Associate's degree in Electrical Engineering Technology or a related field. Equivalent experience may be considered.
Experience
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in electrical testing and troubleshooting with switchgears.
Knowledge/Skills
- Comprehensive understanding of electrical testing principles and practices.
- Proficiency in using various test equipment, including multimeters and data acquisition systems.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- Working knowledge of circuit analysis techniques.
- Experience with soldering and other basic hand tools.
- Familiarity with AC/DC components and their applications.
- Basic understanding of PLC programming.
- Experience with switchgear testing and maintenance is a plus.
- Experience with specific test equipment used in our facility.
