SUMMARY OF ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
The Assembly Operator is responsible for the efficient and safe packaging of sinker bars at the end of the production line. This role involves operating an overhead crane, inspecting products, and ensuring that sinker bars are properly banded and dipped while adhering to safety standards. The ideal candidate will demonstrate physical fitness and a commitment to maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
WORK SCHEDULE:
Monday-Friday, 7:00am-7:30pm
SPECIFIC DUTIES, ACTIVITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
Operate an overhead crane safely to transport sinker bars from the machine to the packaging area.
Inspect sinker bars for quality assurance, ensuring they meet company standards before packaging.
Band and dip sinker bars in accordance with company procedures.
Ensure that sinker bars are packaged and bundled safely for transport and storage.
Adhere to all safety regulations and maintain a clean and organized workspace.
Report any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards to management.
Assist other team members as needed and perform additional tasks outside of normal job scope.
Requirements
EHS REQUIREMENTS:
Complete all work in a safe manner and follow all safety requirements consistent with supporting the company’s TRIR goals
Follow all environmental requirements consistent with supporting the company’s environmental performance goals
Complete, and actively participate in all the company’s Safety Skills training requirements
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
High School diploma or general education degree (GED) is required.
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
Ability to write simple correspondence as required.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Capable of regularly lifting and/or moving up to 50 pounds.
Minimum 6 months performing and mastering the tasks of the Operator I.
Basic proficiency with hand tools and basic computer skills is preferred.
Experience operating an overhead crane is a strong advantage.
Willingness to work overtime and Saturdays as required.
Must successfully pass a drug test and background check as part of the hiring process.
PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:
Must be able to stand for extended periods of time.
Must be able to maneuver to all areas of a shop or warehouse.
Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Must be able to safely bend, reach, kneel, twist, and grip items while working at area.
Must have the manual dexterity and coordination to operate hand tools and mechanical tools.
Must be able to work at a fast pace.
Must be able to tolerate changing priorities, and complete assignments despite frequent interruptions.
Must be able to respond to visual and aural cues.
Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Work primarily occurs in a heated, non-air-conditioned manufacturing environment.
Hazards may include proximity to moving mechanical parts, electrical currents, and exposure to chemicals.

Salary Description
$18.00-$20.00/hr DOE
