JOB REQUIREMENTS: Endres Manufacturing Company is seeking an
experienced, dependable 2nd Shift Lead / Machine Operator (Python) to
support and guide our Punch, Shear, and Saw Department. This role is
ideal for a seasoned operator who takes ownership of their work, sets
the tone for the shift, and helps lead by example on the shop floor.
While we believe in training and development at every level, this
position is intended for a higher-level operator; someone confident in
their skills, steady under pressure, and comfortable being the \"go-to\"
person on second shift. Key Responsibilities: Lead daily operations on
2nd shift within the Punch, Shear, and Saw Department. Set up,
calibrate, and safely operate heavy-duty structural steel processing
equipment. Serve as a point of leadership for the shift, helping keep
work flowing, answering questions, and supporting team members as
needed. Operate a variety of equipment, including: Hydmech Saw, Shear,
Brake Press, Burn Table Use overhead hoists regularly to move and
position steel. Load raw materials into semi-automated equipment and
ensure steady production flow. Monitor machine performance, make
adjustments, and optimize output. Troubleshoot machine issues to
minimize downtime and maintain productivity. Perform routine cleaning,
inspections, and basic preventative maintenance. Conduct in-process and
final quality checks using measurement tools to verify accuracy. Read
and interpret prints, work instructions, degrees, angles, and miter
requirements. Prioritize tasks to meet daily production goals and
deadlines. Assist with loading/unloading trucks and internal material
movement as needed. Enforce and model proper PPE use, hoist safety, and
overall safe work practices. Maintain a clean, organized work area and
promote good shop habits. Learn and support additional machines and
processes to enhance team flexibility. \*\*\*\*\* OTHER EXPERIENCE AND
QUALIFICATIONS: 1 year of machine operation experience or equivalent
Technical Training (more Experience Strongly Preferred). Background In
structural steel, heavy machinery, or industrial fabrication. Comfort
operating saws, shears, brake presses, burn tables, or similar
industrial equipment. Ability to accurately read and interpret degrees,
miters, angles, and basic blueprints. Strong measurement skills using
tape measures, squares, protractors, and calipers (must pass onsite
test). Solid mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability. Confident
and safe operation of overhead hoists. Ability to work independently
with minimal supervision while supporting and guiding others. Strong
safety awareness and understanding of machine guarding and hazard
prevention. Reliable, mature, and professional, someone others can count
on. High school diploma or GED required. Working Conditions & Physical
Demands: Work collaboratively as part of a production team, including
sharing tasks on large components. Frequent standing, walking, bending,
kneeling, and reaching. Regular use of hands and fingers to operate
