What are the responsibilities and job description for the Welder - Robot Operator - Night Shift with 20% Premium position at E.K. Machine?
SUMMARY
EK is looking for a full-time Robot Operating Welder ready to work hard and build their welding experience with our team. We are looking for a new Welder that can weld on a wide variety of metals and alloys, navigate blueprints and directions successfully, and who is ready to take their welding skills to the next level.
Hours: Monday through Thursday - 3:00PM to 1:00AM
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Successfully reading and understanding American and European blueprints, geometrical call outs, and weld symbols to meet or exceed client expectations.
- Using GMAW-P, GMAW-S, and GTAW to effectively weld weldments, tanks, and metal parts together per the weld process specification sheet.
- Responsible for robotic automation within assigned area.
- Visually examines welds for adherence to specifications. Provide touchups and trouble shooting.
- Performing welding on a wide variety of metals and alloys, including carbon steel, galvanized steel, stainless steel, and aluminum.
- Hand layouts of weldments with little to no supervision or assistance.
- Using fixtures, gauges, and jigs to manufacture welded parts to customer specifications.
- Assist with creating work instructions.
- Completing the first piece, in process, and final inspections using calipers, height gauges, protractors, and tape measures.
- May assist with pressure testing fuel tanks and hydro testing glycol tanks.
- Minimal traveling between plants and adapting to the product mix requirements at each facility.
- Analyzing weld processes and recommending process improvements.
