Searching for a Full-Time Endoscopy Surgical Technician, to work Monday through Friday, who can work cooperatively with staff and physicians and perform a variety of tasks. This position is an exciting opportunity, Monday through Friday, no nights, no weekends, no major holidays, great pay and offers a great benefit package!!
Job Summary:
- Supports physicians and nurses with the preparation and set up of appropriate equipment and supplies for each procedure.
- Transports patients, maintains disinfection of equipment and performs and maintains disinfection quality control documentation, and provides patient care as directed.
- Sets up room between procedures.
- Anticipates instrument needs intra procedure and assists the physician during diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
- Collects and processes specimens.
- Maintains and reviews patient records, charts, and other pertinent information.
- Ensures cleanliness of working environment. Prepares list of medical supplies needed.
- Maintains standards to provide a safe, clean and orderly environment, including cleaning, disinfection, and daily maintenance of Endoscopy equipment.
- Maintains patient confidentiality.
- Performs related work as requested.
Applicant must possess a High School diploma/GED and a current BLS certification. GI experience preferred, Surgical Tech, Medical Assistant or CNA skills also preferred. Must maintain current CPR certification. Up to one year experience is required.
