Job Brief
We are seeking a compassionate and reliable Patient Transporter to assist in the transportation of patients within our healthcare facility.
The Patient Transporter’s responsibilities include transferring patients to and from different departments, ensuring that the patient’s medical equipment is properly attached, and maintaining cleanliness and safety during transport.
Ideal candidates are excellent communicators, empathetic and capable of providing comfort and reassurance to patients during transport.
Responsibilities
· Transport patients to and from different areas of the healthcare facility with care and professionalism
· Ensure patient safety and comfort during transport
· Handle medical equipment properly
· Perform light housekeeping duties, ensuring cleanliness of transport equipment
· Comply with health and safety regulations
· Coordinate with medical staff regarding patient transport
· Respond to patient needs and concerns promptly and professionally
· Document transport details according to established procedures
Qualifications
· High school diploma or equivalent
· Proven experience as a Patient Transporter or similar role within a healthcare environment
· Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
· Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy loads
· First Aid and CPR certification
· Good understanding of health and safety regulations
· Professional, compassionate and patient-focused approach

· Job Title: Patient Transporter
· Work Environment: Ambulatory Surgery Center. The role requires standing and walking for extended periods. It may also require lifting and moving patients.
· Reporting Structure: Endoscopy Director
· Salary: Salary is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
