Night Shift Dog Attendant

Position Overview:

Endless Pawsibilities is seeking a dedicated, responsible, and dog-loving Overnight Lodging Attendant to care for our canine guests during nighttime hours. The overnight team plays a vital role in ensuring the comfort, safety, and happiness of every dog in our care while the rest of the world sleeps.

All candidates must first complete a day shift probationary training period before transitioning to overnight shifts to ensure they are confident and fully trained in our procedures and facility expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure every dog is comfortable, happy, and receiving all requested services from their owner
• Perform nightly duties promptly, including thoroughly cleaning and disinfecting all enclosures, play yards, and facility common areas
• Maintain general housekeeping across the facility to ensure cleanliness and comfort
• Accurately prepare and administer feedings and medications, and document all meals and dosages
• Monitor eating habits and report non-eaters or irregular behaviors to the team
• Safely intake daycare and boarding dogs, using proper control and guidance per trainer instructions
• Accurately review, label, and log all belongings, feeding instructions, medication needs, and owner notes at check-in
• Make sure every boarding guest goes home clean and brushed out by any means necessary
• Maintain safe and engaging playgroups during late play sessions or assigned refresher training
• Observe each dog closely for potential health issues (paws, ears, teeth, skin, etc.) and report anything concerning to staff or owners
• Ensure tuck-ins, potty breaks, and enrichment activities are completed as assigned
• Keep detailed records of each dog’s stay, including social group participation, behavior, health, and enrichment
• Follow cleaning schedules for daily, weekly, and monthly tasks
• Keep track of dogs attending Social Club, including behavior and group preferences
• Be familiar with each dog’s behavior and training history, dietary needs, social compatibility, and owner details
• Use safe, approved handling techniques per trainer instruction
• Complete report cards for assigned dogs to maintain excellent communication with clients
• Learn and utilize our operating system, Gingr, for logging activities and checking information
• Assist other departments when needed, including training, social, or front desk
• Immediately report low inventory or supply needs to management
• Maintain a calm, quiet, and safe environment throughout the overnight shift

Requirements:

• Must have reliable transportation and consistent attendance
• Must be able to pass a background check
• Comfortable working independently and managing responsibilities solo overnight
• Capable of safely handling dogs of all sizes and temperaments
• Detail-oriented, proactive, and dependable
• Must complete a day shift probationary period prior to moving to overnight
• Previous experience in dog care, pet boarding, or kennel work is a plus
• Ability to follow structured routines and maintain accurate documentation

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $13.00 - $15.00 per hour
