Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Swim Instructor to join our team. As a Swim Instructor, you will be responsible for educating students of all ages in swimming techniques, safety practices, and water confidence. Your role will involve creating a positive learning environment that fosters skill development and encourages a love for swimming.
Duties:
- Conduct swim lessons for individuals and groups, adapting instruction to meet the needs of each student.
- Teach various swimming techniques, including freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke, and butterfly.
- Implement behavior management strategies to ensure a safe and respectful learning environment.
- Educate students on water safety rules and emergency procedures.
- Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback to help them improve their skills.
- Collaborate with other instructors to develop lesson plans and ensure consistency in teaching methods.
- Maintain a clean and safe pool area, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
- Assist with organizing swim events or competitions as needed.
Qualifications:
- Strong background in sports coaching, particularly in swim instruction.
- Experience in teaching physical education or related fields.
- Proficient in behavior management techniques to effectively engage students.
- Knowledge of lifeguard practices and water safety protocols.
- Experience in childcare or working with children is highly desirable.
