We are seeking a motivated and experienced Commercial Driver's License (CDL) A Owner Operator to join our dynamic transportation team. In this role, you will operate tractor-trailers across over-the-road (OTR) routes, delivering freight efficiently and safely while adhering to all federal and state regulations. Your expertise in handling various types of cargo, including refrigerated, flatbed, tanker, and hazardous materials, will ensure timely deliveries and exceptional service. Responsibilities
- Safely operate tractor-trailers on long-distance OTR routes, ensuring compliance with FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) and DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations.
- Load and unload freight using manual handling techniques, ensuring cargo is secured properly for transit.
- Navigate efficiently using GPS systems to optimize delivery routes and meet delivery schedules.
- Transport a variety of cargo including refrigerated goods, hazardous materials, and specialty loads such as tanker or flatbed freight.
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, deliveries, and vehicle inspections in accordance with regulatory standards.
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections and coordinate maintenance needs to ensure safety and compliance.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding route updates, delivery status, and any issues encountered during transit.
Qualifications
- Valid CDL A license with a clean driving record.
- Proven experience in commercial truck driving, including route driving and delivery driving.
- Familiarity with refrigerated trailers, flatbed loads, tankers, and hazardous materials regulations.
- Ability to operate manual transmission trucks confidently.
- Knowledge of FMCSA regulations, DOT requirements, and hazardous materials handling standards.
- Experience with GPS navigation systems for route planning and execution.
- Strong manual handling skills for load & unload operations and logistics cargo handling.
- Excellent driving skills with a focus on safety, compliance, and customer service.
