Role Description This is a part-time, unpaid Summer Social Media Internship based in New York, NY, with a hybrid work arrangement that combines in-person collaboration and remote work. The intern will support the planning, creation, and scheduling of social media content across platforms such as LinkedIn, X (Twitter), Instagram, and others relevant to the fund, Venture Studio, and related initiatives. Day-to-day tasks include drafting posts, assisting with visual assets, monitoring engagement, and helping to maintain a consistent brand voice that highlights portfolio companies, events, and thought leadership. The intern will conduct basic market and audience research, track social media metrics, and provide reports and insights to help refine digital and social strategies. The role may also involve supporting live or virtual events (such as webinars) through social promotion, clipping content, and posting recaps.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated skills in Social Media Marketing and Digital Marketing, with an interest in growing brand presence and engagement.
- Experience or strong interest in Social Media Content Creation, including drafting posts and collaborating on visual or multimedia content.
- Foundational understanding of Marketing principles, especially as they apply to venture capital, startups, healthcare, or technology, is preferred.
- Strong written and verbal Communication skills, with the ability to adapt tone and messaging for different audiences and platforms.
- Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a program in Marketing, Communications, Business, Journalism, Public Health, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
- High level of initiative, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple tasks in a part-time, hybrid environment.
- Familiarity or interest in healthcare, life sciences, biotech, digital health, or venture capital is a plus.
- Comfort using common social media management or analytics tools (e.g., Hootsuite, Buffer, native platform analytics) is beneficial.
