What are the responsibilities and job description for the Front Desk Assistant/Receptionist position at Encompass Health & Recovery Center?
We are a modern, progressive outpatient substance abuse clinic looking to add a dependable, compassionate, and professional individual to our team at Encompass as our Front Desk Assistant/Receptionist.
This is an ideal position for a student pursuing further education in counseling, social work, or other mental health/substance abuse treatment careers due to field exposure and learning opportunities in a variety of related areas.
- The current available position is part time: Monday/Tuesday/Thursday from 10:30AM - 7:30PM. The opportunity for additional hours may be available with the addition of 1-2 hours prior to 10:30 AM on scheduled work days. The total work hours will be 25-30/week.
- The hourly rate is $13 - $15/hour depending upon job related experience. There will be an opportunity for a rate increase after 1 year of employment.

- Job duties include client registration/check-in, client intake paperwork, reading of drug screens, assisting the clinical therapists with document preparation for sessions, assistance with supervision of adolescent group sessions as needed, appointment confirmation phone calls/texts, and other duties related to administrative and clerical tasks.
- Candidate must be professional, dependable, dedicated, and have an outgoing, customer oriented personality
- Candidate must be CPR certified (or willing to obtain certification prior to employment) and complete a background check
- Must have prior experience as a receptionist, office assistant, customer service representative, or worked in another customer oriented environment.
- Must have basic computer skills with the ability to email proficiently, create basic spreadsheets in Excel, manage basic reports, schedule in an electronic database, and perform various clerical tasks.
- Experience in a medical or mental health environment preferred.

Pay: $13.00 - $15.00 per hour
