What are the responsibilities and job description for the Survey Drafter position at Encompass Energy Services?
Job Summary:
- Use AutoCAD to create pipeline alignment sheets and plats, exhibits and permit drawings used to construct pipeline projects
- Prepare design drawings with plan, section and detail format or plan and profile as designated
- Prepare sketches of details not included on existing drawings to accurately reflect as-installed field conditions
- Prepare drawings, forms, maps, and lists based on approved details provided by designers and engineers
Requirements:
- 2 - 5 years drafting experience or education equivalent
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and legal descriptions drafting
- Oil and gas industry experience required
- Reading and understanding maps, plat maps, as-builts, construction drawings and gas service records for existing condition interpolation
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D
- Experience with Route Mapper and/or Plat Mapper preferred
- Experience with ArcPro is beneficial
- Must have civil survey or pipeline survey experience.
Qualifications:
- Applicants will have a basic understanding of survey procedures and data collection and a level of knowledge to work independently.
- Ability to work on multiple projects using raw field data and computer data.
- Ability to apply land surveying methodologies, formulas, principles, and techniques to solve surveying-related problems.
- Ability to review their own work for accuracy and completeness and the initiative to recommend solutions or improvements as appropriate.
- Customer service and team-oriented.
- Should demonstrate they are a self-starter, organized, attentive to detail, and able to work under stress to meet deadlines.
