What are the responsibilities and job description for the CAD Drafter position at Control Panels Usa Inc?
General Description of Job: In general, the CAD Drafter is responsible for developing detailed design drawings and related specifications for the manufacturing of control panels.
Duties to include but not limited to:
- Generate and/or revise schematic drawings, wiring diagrams, physical equipment assembly drawings
- Follow CP USA standards to ensure drawings are consistent
- Analyze markups from production and revise drawings to reflect finished product
- Review cost estimates to ensure correct parts and panels to ensure correct parts are utilized on drawings
- May create designs based on contract drawings and specifications
- Adhere to timelines as set forth by Project Managers
- Any other task, assignments, duty, or projects, as requested by management
Requirements:
- 2 years of experience using AutoCAD
- Proficient with Microsoft Office products (e.g. Word, Excel, etc.)
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings including schematics and electrical product guidelines
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills
- Ability to follow direction and procedures
- Ability to work on multiple projects at time
- Ability to work in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
- Detail oriented
