Aircraft Maintenance Technician

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain, inspect, and troubleshoot T-7 aircraft systems, including comm/nav, instrumentation, mechanical, and electrical components.
• Use technical orders, schematics, and diagrams to diagnose issues and perform component-level repairs.
• Operate ground support equipment and conduct maintenance on assigned aircraft.
• Open and remove aircraft panels (excluding those requiring Command and Response authorization) to perform inspections and repairs.
• Ensure strict adherence to safety, environmental, and tool-control programs.
• Maintain accurate manual and electronic records in accordance with USAF and company standards.
• Troubleshoot and repair aircraft systems using technical data and established maintenance directives.
• Provide on-the-job training and mentorship to junior technicians.
• Participate in scheduled inspections and follow-up maintenance activities.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

• 5–7 years of aircraft maintenance experience with strong troubleshooting and repair capabilities.
• Experience supervising or leading maintenance personnel.
• Ability to work rotating shifts as required.
• Proven experience troubleshooting aircraft malfunctions to the component level.
• Knowledge of aviation regulatory requirements and quality management systems.
• Familiarity with electronics, schematics, and electrical circuits.
• Experience supporting Development or Flight Test Programs (preferred).
• Experience with DoD systems such as AFTO 781 forms and IMDS (preferred).
• Ability to build effective working relationships with U.S. government personnel is a plus.

Security Requirements:

• Must be eligible to obtain a DoD Personnel Security Clearance.
• Must adhere to all company information system security policies and procedures.

Physical Demands & Work Environment:

• Ability to lift/move up to 50 lbs.
• Must be able to work in confined spaces, elevated areas, and beneath aircraft components.
• Exposure to loud noise, airborne particles, electrical/hydraulic/pneumatic systems, and extreme temperatures may occur.
• Ability to travel domestically and internationally as needed.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with Development and Flight Test Programs.
• Previous interaction or relationship-building experience with U.S. government personnel.
• Familiarity with AFTO 781 forms and IMDS.
• Strong understanding of aviation quality systems and regulatory compliance.
• Advanced knowledge of electrical systems, schematics, and troubleshooting methods.
