Our agency is seeking an individual who will be primarily responsible for coordinating and maintaining the general upkeep of buildings, vehicles, grounds and all of the equipment on the premises in the Roanoke area.
Please note: This role requires driving, therefore a "clean driving record" is critical.

- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Training and/or experience in mechanical and electrical systems preferred.
- Minimum of five years of maintenance experience.
- Must possess leadership and management skills and be able to work independently without direct supervision.
- Must be able to handle several projects simultaneously.
- Demonstrated people skills, including the ability to work with diverse groups of people.
- Valid Virginia Driver’s License and proof of insurance.
- Satisfactory driving record in accordance with Driver Requirements policy.
- Ability to drive agency vehicles and must have reliable transportation to be able to travel to various agency locations when needed.
- Ability to travel to other sites/locations, including occasional travel out of town and occasional overnight trips.
- Ability to work a flexible work schedule, including emergencies as needed.
- Demonstrated computer skills and experience working with Microsoft Office.
- Ability to observe health and safety regulations and willingness to work with people with disabilities or other special needs.
- DRIVING SPECIFIC (The following list may or may not be all inclusive at time of posting) :
- Must not have any of the following violations within the last 5 years:
- Reckless driving, including speeding 20mph or more over the posted speed limit.
- Driving under the influence/impaired/intoxicated or refusing a blood/breath test.
- Manslaughter or negligent homicide.

- Driving on a suspended or revoked license
- Driving a commercial motor vehicle while disqualified, under the influence, with a blood alcohol level of .04 or higher, refusing a blood/breath test, or violating an out-of-service order.
- Injuring a person while racing - felony.
- Failure to stop at the scene of a crash where there is injury, death, or property damage of $1000 or more.
- Emergency vehicle violation - death.
- Vehicular assault or willful stopping, impeding, or damaging a vehicle.
- Blocking access to the service facility.
- Attempting to elude police.
- Operating an unsafe vehicle.
- Vulnerable Road User – Death.
- Must not have any of the following violations within the last 3 years:
- Passing a stopped school bus.
- Careless driving.
- Three or more minor moving violations within the last three years.
Essential Functions: May be required to perform any of the following duties:
- General upkeep of agency facilities.
- Conduct and perform regular inspections of agency facilities.
- Advise the manager of any maintenance needs.
- Coordinate and keep a schedule based on the electronic maintenance ticket system.
- Address maintenance tickets in a timely manner.
- Perform general repairs such as painting, patching walls, changing locks, etc.
- Serve as emergency contact for staff at the agency locations for questions concerning maintenance and repairs.
- Maintain landscaping as needed.
- Maintain snow removal as needed.
- Maintain communication with outside contractors as needed.
- Operate machinery and equipment.
- Move furniture and equipment as needed.
- Order and pick up maintenance supplies and materials as needed.
- Maintain storage and work area in a neat, safe, and secure condition.
- Implement vehicle inspections that ensure that all vehicles are in working condition.
- Attends training as requested by supervisor.
- Attends agency meetings.
- Performs other related duties as required and assigned.
- Ability to manage and submit electronic expense reports.
