Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Lead Preschool teacher to join our early childhood education team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about fostering a nurturing and stimulating environment for toddlers supporting their developmental milestones, and guiding a team of assistant teachers. This role requires a strong background in early childhood education, classroom management, and child welfare to ensure the highest quality of care and education for our youngest learners.
Duties
- Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum tailored to toddlers developmental needs, including literacy, motor skills, and social-emotional growth.
- Lead classroom activities that promote early intervention, behavior management, and childhood development principles.
- Oversee daily classroom operations, ensuring a safe, clean, and engaging environment that complies with licensing standards and best practices in childcare.
- Supervise and mentor assistant teachers and support staff, providing guidance on classroom management, lesson planning, and instructional strategies.
- Conduct assessments of toddlers progress using standardized testing methods and document developmental milestones.
- Collaborate with parents and guardians to discuss child welfare, progress reports, and individualized plans for children requiring special education or additional support.
- Coordinate with specialists in early intervention or special education to support children with diverse needs.
- Plan educational activities that incorporate Montessori methods or other pedagogical approaches suitable for infants.
- Maintain professional development by staying current with early childhood education trends, including literacy education, math readiness, physical education, and daycare best practices.

- Strong knowledge of childhood development theories and classroom management techniques.
- Experience with curriculum development tailored for infants and toddlers.
- Familiarity with special education practices, early intervention strategies, and behavior management techniques.
- Excellent communication skills for engaging with children, parents, staff, and external professionals.
- Ability to plan lessons effectively while adapting to individual child needs.
- Experience working in preschool or daycare settings; private school experience is a plus.
- Knowledge of standardized testing procedures relevant to early childhood assessment.
- Skills in teaching physical education activities suitable for infants; experience with literacy education is preferred.
- Ability to manage a classroom efficiently while fostering a warm and inclusive environment that promotes child welfare.
