What are the responsibilities and job description for the Commercial Cultivation Trimmer & Post- Harvest Production Associate position at Enchanted Botanicals?
Job Summary
We are seeking a high-efficiency Trimmer & Post-Harvest Production Associate to join our large-scale commercial cultivation facility! In this role, you will be a critical part of our post-harvest operations, helping turn large commercial harvests into pristine, market-ready flower and extraction-grade biomass.
This role is ideal for individuals who thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume production facility, have strong manual dexterity, and take pride in meeting daily yield targets while upholding strict quality control standards.
Duties may include
- Commercial Scale Trimming: Perform high-volume hand-trimming and/or machine-assisted trimming (e.g., Twister/Centurion systems) to precise facility specifications, meeting daily gram-per-hour output benchmarks.
- Harvest & Bucking Operations: Assist with large-scale harvest execution—including plant cutting, fan leaf removal, wet/dry bucking, and hanging plants on drying racks in environmental cure rooms.
- Quality & Grading Standards: Inspect flower during processing to sort into A-top buds, smalls/B-grade, and high-terpene trim for extraction, while identifying and removing any defective plant material.
- Bulk Packaging & Batching: Weigh, vacuum-seal, and package bulk flower lots into tote/tote-liner storage with accurate Metrc/BioTrack batch tags for vault placement.
- Sanitation & Hygiene SOPs: Maintain cleanroom-level cleanliness across processing bays, sanitizing trimming tables, shears, trays, and automated equipment in compliance with cGMP and state rules.
- Regulatory Compliance: Adhere to all New Mexico Cannabis Control Division (CCD) compliance guidelines, ensuring zero un-tagged plant material enters or leaves processing zones.
Post-Harvest Logistics & Inventory Support
- To keep high-volume cultivation lots moving seamlessly from harvest to vault, you will support post-harvest inventory routines:
- Batch & Weight Verification: Perform precise weight measurements at each processing stage (wet weight, dry weight, trimmed weight, and waste) and record metrics in physical logs or digital inventory systems.
- Waste Protocol Support: Assist leads in gathering, weighing, and logging unmarketable plant waste (stems, fan leaves) following strict state destruction and disposal SOPs.
- Facility Supply Maintenance: Help monitor and restock processing consumables—such as isopropyl alcohol, trim trays, nitrile gloves, vacuum bags, and pre-roll cones—to avoid production downtime.
Qualifications & Skills
- Experience: Prior experience in commercial cannabis trimming, agricultural harvest, or fast-paced industrial manufacturing/assembly line work preferred.
- Age Requirement: Must be 21 years or older per New Mexico state law.
- Background Check: Must pass a state-mandated background check.
- Stamina & Speed: Proven ability to maintain consistent speed, accuracy, and attention to detail during repetitive production tasks.
- Team-Oriented: Dependable, punctual, and comfortable working collaboratively in team production bays to hit daily team quotas. Physical Demands & Facility Conditions
- Ability to perform fine-motor repetitive hand and wrist movements for 8- to 10-hour shifts.
- Ability to sit or stand at workstation tables for extended periods.
- Ability to regularly lift, move, and stack tote bins and harvest containers weighing up to 40–50 lbs.
- Comfortable working in climate-controlled indoor agricultural environments (drying rooms, trim bays) with ambient plant aromas and dust.
