About the Role:
As a Planner/Scheduler, you will play a crucial role in providing technical support and managing project schedules for internal client groups involved in planning, procurement, development, construction, and maintenance activities. You will be instrumental in ensuring efficient project delivery and adherence to enterprise scheduling standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Adhere to enterprise scheduling standards for the development and implementation of schedules. Ensure that standards, such as the Work Breakdown Structure (WBS), are current and effectively applied.
- Update, revise, and detail schedules as projects progress through development and execution stages. Use earned-value data from Field Construction Analysts and other construction tracking and reporting sources to keep schedules accurate.
- Assist in interpreting the performance of scheduled activities and communicate any issues to the Project Manager. Analyze how schedule updates impact baseline plans and ensure resource requirements are integrated at planning stages and throughout the project lifecycle.
- Develop and manage indicators to measure schedule performance effectively.
- Provide technical advice related to scheduling, planning, and logistics. Develop detailed "what-if" schedules upon request to explore options and identify critical path elements and logic-driven alternatives.
- Represent the department in providing advice and coordination for internal projects and external activities, including interfacing with customers, partners, and consultants.
- Offer technical and business advice on preparing and handling documents required for project completion, including generating reports, schedules, and updates related to project planning and scheduling.
- Interface with various project team members and key stakeholders to gather information necessary for accurate and timely critical-path management of the project schedules.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Planner/Scheduler with 5-10 years' experience in P6 scheduling.
- Strong understanding of scheduling standards and tools, including Work Breakdown Structures (WBS).
- Excellent analytical skills, particularly concerning performance analysis and impact assessments.
- Ability to communicate effectively with project managers and stakeholders at all levels.
- Proficiency in developing and managing schedule performance indicators.
