- Assist the Facility Manager/site personnel with implementation and execution of site, corporate, and regulatory requirements
- Promote SHEQ awareness by building on existing culture and program strengths, contributing communication with all level employees, and promoting positive reinforcement of safety and health rules and regulations.
- Manage Site Safety Plans and SDS database
- Conduct formal and informal site audits, job audits, and routine facility audits as needed or as directed.
- Assist SHEQ/Operations teams in the execution of SHEQ procedures documenting findings, corrective actions, and tracking of closure items identified.
- Provide site specific safety/new hire orientation, personnel training, and manage database to track current training within designated terminals.
- Regular and predictable attendance.
- Proficient in Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
- 3 years of SHEQ experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of regulations and standards and hazard recognition injury management skills and written and verbal communication skills as they pertain to OSHA, NFPA, NEC, ANSI, State and Local rules.
- Knowledge of environmental regulations, permitting, tracking and reporting.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Professional safety and/or IH certifications highly desired but not required
- A BS degree in a technical discipline, such as environmental science or engineering, or equivalent job experience is required.
- Working knowledge of Federal, State, and Local/City occupational safety, health, waste, storm water, air, and wastewater regulations.
- Technical experience in evaluating multi-media environmental regulations and developing company-specific procedures and guidelines that meet the intent of those regulations.
