Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Cherry Picker Operator to join our dynamic warehouse team for our Canoga Park location. The ideal candidate will have experience in warehouse distribution and a strong understanding of materials handling processes. As a Cherry Picker Operator, you will be responsible for efficiently operating the cherry picker to ensure the smooth flow of goods within the facility. Your role will be crucial in maintaining inventory accuracy and supporting shipping and receiving operations. Must be able to work Mon-Fri 2nd shift 1:30pm to 10:00pm.
Duties
- Operate cherry picker and other forklifts to load, unload, and move materials within the warehouse.
- Perform order picking tasks using RF scanners to ensure accurate fulfillment of customer orders.
- Assist in shipping and receiving activities, ensuring that all incoming and outgoing shipments are processed efficiently.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area while adhering to safety protocols, including OSHA regulations.
- Conduct regular inspections of equipment, reporting any mechanical issues or maintenance needs.
- Utilize pallet jacks and clamp trucks as necessary for various material handling tasks.
- Engage in heavy lifting as required, ensuring proper techniques are used to prevent injury.
Skills
- Proven experience in warehouse operations, including order picking and shipping & receiving.
- Ability to operate RF scanners for efficient order processing.
- Experience with materials handling techniques, ensuring safe lifting practices.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
