We are seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead engineering operations within a high-volume manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for planning, designing, and optimizing manufacturing processes, with a strong focus on casting and machining operations.
The ideal candidate will drive efficiency, lead cross-functional initiatives, and oversee the full lifecycle of engineering—from process design through production execution—while ensuring high standards of quality, safety, and performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide strategic leadership and technical direction for engineering and manufacturing operations
- Lead new product introduction (NPI) from concept through production launch, ensuring manufacturability and on-time delivery
- Establish and standardize engineering practices, including process design, tooling, machine selection, and cost optimization
- Partner cross-functionally with Production, Quality, and Supply Chain to ensure scalable and efficient manufacturing processes
- Champion continuous improvement initiatives using Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies
- Oversee PFMEA development, risk mitigation strategies, and process validation activities
- Ensure compliance with quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001), including root cause analysis and corrective actions
- Manage warranty claims, product returns, and rework to drive long-term corrective solutions
- Oversee engineering documentation, including CAD standards, tooling designs, CNC programs, and production documentation
- Lead capital improvement projects, including planning, budgeting support, and execution
- Track and drive key performance indicators (KPIs) related to safety, quality, delivery, and cost
- Maintain a strong on-site leadership presence to support plant operations and team development
Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field
- 9 years of experience in manufacturing engineering, preferably in casting and machining environments
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, tooling, and process optimization
- Proven leadership experience managing teams and cross-functional projects
Preferred:
- Master’s degree in Engineering or related discipline
- 10 years of experience in high-volume industrial or automotive manufacturing
- Experience with aluminum casting processes and machining operations
- Lean Manufacturing and/or Six Sigma certification

Work Environment
This role operates in a combination of office and manufacturing floor settings. Exposure to industrial conditions such as noise, moving equipment, temperature variations, and airborne particles may occur. Appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) is required while on the production floor.
Physical Requirements
- Primarily sedentary with regular standing and walking in a manufacturing environment
- Occasional lifting of up to 40 lbs
- Ability to perform tasks requiring reaching, bending, or crouching as needed
Schedule & Travel
- Full-time, Monday through Friday
- Minimal travel required
