Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP) to provide skills training and case management services in the community in the Dallas area. This position is ideal for someone who is passionate about supporting individuals and families, enjoys working independently in the field, and is committed to helping clients build stability, confidence, and daily living skills.
The QMHP will work directly with clients in home and community-based settings to provide mental health support, teach coping and independent living skills, coordinate services, and help connect individuals to needed resources. This role also requires participation in selected community events to support outreach and engagement efforts.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide community-based skills training and case management services to clients according to individualized treatment goals.
Assist clients with developing coping skills, emotional regulation, problem-solving, communication, and daily living skills.
Support clients in accessing community resources, benefits, healthcare, housing, education, and other needed services.
Maintain timely, accurate, and complete documentation in accordance with company standards and Medicaid requirements.
Coordinate care with families, referral sources, and other professionals involved in the client’s treatment.
Travel throughout the community to meet with clients in their homes, schools, and other approved locations.
Attend and assist with selected community events, outreach efforts, and engagement activities as needed.
Maintain professionalism, boundaries, confidentiality, and ethical standards at all times.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in a Human Services field is required.
Must meet qualifications to serve as a QMHP in Texas.
Experience providing skills training, case management, or other community-based mental health services is preferred.
Strong communication, organization, and documentation skills required.
Ability to work independently and manage a flexible community-based schedule.
Must be dependable, professional, and comfortable working in the field.
Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and current auto insurance required.
Preferred Skills:
Knowledge of community mental health services and local resources.
Ability to build rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds.
Experience working with children, adolescents, adults, or families in community settings.
Strong time management and problem-solving abilities.
Willingness to support community outreach and engagement events.
Work Setting:
This position is fully community-based and requires regular travel throughout the Dallas area.
Pay: $20.00 - $28.00 per hour
