District Manager

Empowered Staffing is partnered with a leading healthcare food and facilities organization to identify a Food Services Area Manager to oversee multiple healthcare facilities within an assigned geographic region.

The Food Services Area Manager will oversee multiple facilities, develop and support Food Services Directors and Supervisors, maintain strong client relationships, and ensure operations meet applicable state, federal, and regulatory requirements.

What You'll Be Doing

• Oversee the daily operations of multiple healthcare food service facilities within an assigned geographic area.
• Provide leadership, coaching, support, and performance feedback to Food Services Directors, Supervisors, Training Managers, and other facility staff.
• Conduct regular facility visits to evaluate operations, maintain relationships with clients and employees, and ensure compliance with established standards.
• Supervise, coordinate, and evaluate the performance of facility managers and supervisors.
• Manage cost-effective operations while forecasting and planning the purchase of food, supplies, and equipment.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with healthcare facility executives, clients, residents, employees, and other stakeholders.
• Ensure client contract requirements are properly communicated and implemented across assigned facilities.
• Ensure compliance with dietary safety, sanitation, infection control, workplace safety, and applicable regulatory requirements.
• Oversee Workers' Compensation reporting and ensure employees have appropriate personal protective equipment and safety resources.
• Support payroll and employee administration, including reviewing timekeeping reports and assisting with benefits and open enrollment activities.
• Partner with internal support teams and facility leadership to address operational needs and improve performance across the assigned area.
  
  

Required Skills & Experience

• 2 years of dietary or food services experience within a healthcare environment.
• Experience supervising and leading dietary or food service personnel.
• Bachelor's degree in Management, Business, Healthcare Administration, or a related field is highly preferred; high school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Proven experience with P&L and budget management, including the ability to develop and achieve financial goals.
• Strong knowledge of dietary safety, sanitation, infection control, and applicable healthcare regulations.
• Strong leadership, interpersonal, communication, analytical, organizational, and time-management skills.
• Ability to build and maintain professional relationships with healthcare facility executives, clients, residents, employees, and other stakeholders.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Willingness to travel between assigned facilities and participate in Area, District, and Regional activities.
