JOB DESCRIPTION: Billing and Records Specialist
PURPOSE:
Assist both the Accounts Payable and Quality Improvement Teams to improve accounts payable cycles and complete and accurate documentation related to Quality Improvement.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Assist the Accounts Payable team to investigate, identify and resolve denied billing claims.
2. Coordinate solutions to denied billing claims utilizing the MSS platform as well as local contract portals.
3. Communicate regularly with Accounts Payable team on denied billing claims progress.
4. Perform day to day Accounts Payable functions in the Accounts Receivables Analyst’s absence.
5. Assist the Quality Improvement team to input and update Brittco Client and Staff information including but not limited to demographic information, contact information, span and payment details, ISPs and goals.
6. Assist Quality Improvement team with Brittco data retrieval for agency planning purposes as well as periodic reports on UIs and MUIs.
7. Perform day-to-day Quality Improvement functions in the Quality Improvement Manager’s absence.
8. Adhere to the utmost standards of professionalism and integrity as well as all applicable local, State and Federal Regulations governing our Agency’s Services.
9. Perform any other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
1. 5 years of professional experience in the Finance, Compliance, Human Services Field, or some combination of experience.
2. Criminal Background Check
3. Drug Screen and Physical
4. A commitment to providing excellent care and customer service.
5. Ability to adapt to changing circumstances, critical thinking skills and creativity.
6. Must have excellent organizational skills with experience supporting a multi-site enterprise.
7. Understanding of Medicaid Waivers, and Ohio Department of Developmental Disabilities Regulations.
