Job Description:
The Change Production Readiness Sr. Analyst is responsible for ensuring that all changes to production environments are thoroughly assessed, documented, and approved before deployment.
This role involves collaborating with various stakeholders to minimize disruptions, enhance system stability, and ensure compliance with organizational standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Change Management: Oversee the change management process, ensuring all changes meet documentation standards and are authorized before deployment.
Risk Assessment: Conduct comprehensive risk assessments for proposed changes, identifying potential impacts and mitigation strategies.
Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with development, quality engineering, operations, and other relevant teams to ensure changes are well-coordinated and communicated.
Documentation: Ensure all changes are fully documented, including work notes and retrospective analysis, to facilitate continuous improvement and compliance.
Approval Process: Manage the change approval process, ensuring changes are authorized by 5 PM ET or rescheduled for the next day.
Post-Implementation Reviews: Conduct post-implementation reviews to evaluate the success of changes and identify areas for improvement.
Production Readiness Requirements: Address production readiness requirements such as runbooks, monitoring, and batch processing user guides (BPUGs).
Training and Support: Provide training and resources to teams on change management processes and best practices.
Metrics and Reporting: Generate and present change management metrics and scorecards to key stakeholders and executive leadership.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in change management, production readiness, or a related role.
Skills:
Strong understanding of ITIL and IT Service Management best practices.
Excellent risk assessment and mitigation skills.
Proficient in documentation and process optimization.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
Preferred Qualifications:
Certifications: ITIL certification or equivalent.
Tools: Experience with ServiceNow or similar change management tools.
