We are seeking a Chief Growth Officer to lead and accelerate new business growth across Empower–Ocean Media Group.
This is a senior, hands-on leadership role for a proven growth executive who understands that aggressive growth requires initiative, urgency, and ownership. The CGO will be accountable for driving new client wins and building sustained momentum across the organization.
This is not a purely strategic role and not a relationship-only position. This is a results-first growth leadership role.
Responsibilities:
Lead New Business Growth
- Personally lead new business efforts from initial outreach through close
- Shape and respond to RFPs with clear, compelling, executive-level storytelling
- Experience working on Government State and/or Federal RFP’s ideal
- Ability to draft early RFP submissions essential
- Manage internal pitch teams with speed, discipline, and clarity
- Drive higher win rates through better preparation, positioning, and follow-through
Build Market Influence
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with media search consultants and industry influencers
- Ensure Empower–Ocean is consistently top of mind in relevant searches
- Proactively engage consultants rather than waiting for introductions
Develop Strategic Partnerships
- Build scalable referral relationships with:
- Private Equity firms
- Management consulting firms
- Establish repeatable growth channels—not one-off opportunities
Represent the Brand
- Actively participate in key industry events (ANA, Possible, CMO and procurement forums)
- Initiate meaningful dialogue with CMOs, Heads of Media, and Procurement leaders
- Position Empower–Ocean as a confident, credible growth and decision partner
Who You Are
You are a proven growth leader who:
- Is proactive, decisive, and comfortable leading from the front
- Is focused on closing business, not just building pipelines
- Can engage credibly with CMOs, procurement leaders, consultants, and PE partners
- Thrives in high-accountability environments with clear expectations
- Communicates clearly and persuasively—both written and verbal
- Leads through excellent project and process management
- Possesses a “Fearless” mindset – is comfortable hearing “no” and pushing forward anyway
- Brings urgency, discipline, and follow-through to everything you lead
What Success Looks Like
This role is measured clearly and objectively.
Primary measure of success:
- New clients closed
Additional indicators:
- Quality and velocity of opportunities
- Pitch-to-win conversion rate
- Strength of consultant and partner relationships
Activity alone is not success—results are.
Why This Role Is Compelling
- Significant scale already in place—this is not a startup environment
- Direct access to senior leadership
- Real authority to shape growth strategy and execution
- Opportunity to make a visible, measurable impact on a $1.5B platform
- A differentiated agency offering that goes well beyond traditional media services
