Director of Development and Marketing
The Director of Development and Marketing will lead efforts to build a strong and sustainable funding base for Empower Cocke Co. This role will focus on engaging churches, individual donors, and community partners; developing and managing key fundraising events; pursuing grants; and strengthening the organization’s overall marketing and community presence. Additionally, the role will provide input on operational improvements that enhance revenue-generating activities to facilitate sustainability of the Empower Family Home. All activities will be conducted reflecting the Empower Cocke County religious mission and vision statements.
QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE:
Preferred – Associate’s degree (A.A.) or equivalent from college or technical school.
Experience in sales, fundraising, marketing, and nonprofit development plus business leadership, including sales management, and operations
Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
Familiarity with nonprofit fundraising; marketing tools; and grant writing experience.
MARKETING AND COMMUNICATIONS:
Develop and oversee marketing strategies to raise community awareness of the organization and its programs.
Improve and maintain the nonprofit’s website, social media, and print communications.
Strengthen branding and visibility through signage and public relations.
STRATEGIC and OPERATIONAL INPUT/FUND DEVELOPMENT:
Provide guidance on optimizing revenue generation operations, appearance, and customer experience to maximize revenue.
Offer recommendations to improve overall organizational efficiency and community impact.
Develop a business plan to facilitate sustainability of the Empower family home.
FUND DEVELOPMENT:
Cultivate and maintain relationships with local pastors, churches, and faith-based partners.
Identify, engage and steward individual donors and community leaders.
Coordinate with the teams of our 3-5 major annual fundraising events.
Research and assist in writing grants in alignment with organizational priorities.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations – Current vehicle insurance and a valid TN state driver’s license.
Pay: $52,724.70 - $63,496.41 per year
