Teaching Assistant Professor or Teaching Associate Professor The Teachers College Search 2239- Posted November 21, 2025 Emporia State University invites applications for an assistant teaching professor position in curriculum and instruction in The Teachers College, located in Emporia, Kansas. This is a multi-year contracted position The appointment will commence in August 2026. RESPONSIBILITIES: The successful applicant will have education and related professional experience to teach a variety of graduate and undergraduate courses related to curriculum and instruction, in both elementary and secondary education, incorporating the latest strategies and methodologies. Other teaching responsibilities may be assigned based on the education and professional experience of the candidate. The position may include teaching online courses in our programs. QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum Qualifications: Five or more years of successful elementary or secondary school teaching experience. The candidate must have experience as a classroom teacher in an accredited school. Training in research-based approaches to teach education course related to curriculum, instruction, and assessment Doctorate in Curriculum and Instruction education or related degree  Preferred Qualifications: Experience teaching education majors at the graduate and undergraduate level Experience supervising preservice teachers during student teaching semesters COMPENSATION: Salary: $53,286 - $69,360 annually Salary will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.
