What are the responsibilities and job description for the Network Security Engineer position at Employvision Inc.?
Key Responsibilities
* Configure, maintain, and update enterprise firewalls (Check Point, Fortinet, F5)
* Support Cisco network infrastructure (ASR, Nexus, Catalyst switches/routers)
* Troubleshoot and resolve network and application connectivity issues
* Perform deep packet-level analysis using Wireshark and tcpdump
* Support and troubleshoot:
Routing protocols (OSPF, EIGRP, BGP)
Layer 2 issues (STP, VLANs)
NAC / 802.1X / EAP authentication issues
* Manage and maintain DNS infrastructure using Infoblox
* Assist in enforcing and updating firewall rules aligned with security standards
* Support data center operations, including:
Patch panel work
Hardware inventory management
Network device lifecycle support (upgrade/replacement/decommissioning)
* Coordinate with network/security vendors for changes, escalations, and incident resolution
* Participate in off-hours / on-call support as required for production incidents
Must-Have Requirements
* 4 years in enterprise network and/or network security operations
* Hands-on experience with firewalls:
Check Point
Fortinet
F5 (LTM/GTM exposure preferred)
* Strong Cisco networking experience:
ASR, Nexus, Catalyst platforms
* Solid understanding of:
TCP/IP networking fundamentals
Routing protocols (OSPF, EIGRP, BGP)
* Strong Layer 2 troubleshooting experience (STP, VLAN issues)
* Experience with:
NAC / 802.1X / EAP troubleshooting
Wireshark and tcpdump
* Infoblox DNS administration experience
* Comfortable working in production support / incident-driven environments
* Ability to support off-hours escalations and maintenance windows
