Bank Operations - Client Service Specialist

Role Summary
The Client Service Specialist plays a critical role in managing the client journey to ensure exceptional services are provided with quick and accurate turnaround times. This individual is responsible for acting as the primary point of contact for clients, managing the onboarding process for deposit accounts and treasury services, and coordinating internal support to meet client needs.
Key Responsibilities
The Client Service Specialist's responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Client Relationship Management:
- Act as the main point of contact for clients within an assigned market vertical and take ownership of the completion of requests.
- Identify customer needs and take proactive steps to maintain a positive experience.
- Liaise and advocate on behalf of the client, ensuring a continuation of care when additional internal expert involvement is needed, including escalating research requests.
- Service & Onboarding Management:
- Engage the assigned team on client onboardings for deposit accounts and treasury services.
- Identify cross-sale opportunities and refer them to appropriate line of business partners.
- Internal Collaboration:
- Foster a culture of partnership and collaboration with internal business partners to drive consistent communication and alignment.
Required Skills & Competencies
- Product & Industry Knowledge:
- Extensive knowledge of all bank products, services, policies, and procedures.
- Knowledge of Commercial and Corporate Deposit Account Types.
- Knowledge of Treasury Management products, services, core, and business online banking platforms.
- Technical Proficiency:
- Proficient PC skills with Microsoft Office applications and email.
- Proficiency with Bank core systems and other support systems such as SalesForce.
- Professional Attributes:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills required to effectively communicate with both external clients and internal technical project teams.
- Must be able to multi-task effectively and prioritize workflow.
- Self-starter with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- High degree of detail orientation.
- Ability to perform complex assignments involving a high degree of mental alertness, application of sound judgment, and above-average analytical ability.
Experience and Education
Required
- High School diploma or GED.
- A minimum of 3-5 years of banking experience in customer service or treasury management.
Preferred
- Bachelor's degree.
- Experience in working with a variety of Commercial/Corporate businesses such as Commercial Real Estate, Healthcare, Government entities, Commercial and Industrial entities, etc.
