Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to support the design, development, and implementation of complex mechanical systems and components. This role involves working cross-functionally with multiple engineering disciplines and may include leading project-level initiatives. The ideal candidate is capable of operating with minimal supervision and is comfortable making independent technical decisions.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and develop mechanical components, assemblies, and system-level solutions
Create and maintain detailed engineering specifications, analyses, and technical documentation
Develop equipment interface requirements and procurement specifications
Build and evaluate prototypes, including modeling and subsystem integration
Define system performance requirements, operational objectives, and resource needs
Recommend and support testing strategies, tools, and validation methods
Collaborate with internal teams as well as external customers, suppliers, and partners
Assess vendor capabilities and support sourcing decisions
Lead or participate in design reviews and technical discussions
Prepare technical proposals, including cost estimates, timelines, and engineering approaches
Track project progress, ensuring alignment with budget and schedule expectations
Stay current with industry trends, tools, and advancements in mechanical engineering

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field with at least 5 years of relevant experience, or a Master’s degree with 3 years of experience

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Proficiency with standard office software (e.g., Word, Excel) and engineering tools
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Effective written and verbal communication skills
Strong collaboration and interpersonal abilities
