Position Overview
HR MGMT 10, LLC is seeking a highly motivated, solutions-oriented Print Machine & Cutter Technician to take full ownership of printshop operations at HQ. This is not a basic machine operator role. We are looking for a self-starter who takes pride in machine ownership, understands material behavior across substrates, and can independently troubleshoot technical challenges.
This role is responsible for the end-to-end operation, maintenance, and optimization of large-format flatbed printing and cutting systems, ensuring consistent quality, efficiency, and machine uptime.
Key Responsibilities
Flatbed UV-LED Print Operations

Serve as the lead operator for a 64” x 112” Flatbed UV-LED Printer

Operate both roll media and rigid sheet applications

Follow and maintain established step-by-step production workflows with precision

Execute weekly cleaning protocols and scheduled maintenance to ensure optimal uptime and color consistency

Monitor print output for banding, color accuracy, adhesion, and registration issues, making real-time adjustments as needed
Flatbed Cutter Operations

Operate a 51” x 120” Flatbed Cutter for high-precision finishing on rigid and roll stock

Configure and manage multi-module tool holders, including specialized tools for textiles or fabric finishing when applicable

Utilize the integrated router system to finish solid boards and heavy-duty materials as needed

Perform routine calibration and upkeep of cutting heads and router bits to maintain clean edges and dimensional accuracy
Technical Problem Solving & Machine Ownership

Act as the first line of defense for machine, workflow, and production issues

Independently reference manufacturer manuals, technical documentation, and support portals to diagnose and resolve problems

Identify bottlenecks across print-to-cut workflows and implement efficiency improvements

Maintain organized inventory of inks, replacement parts, tooling, and consumables
File Preparation & Pre-Press Support

Review incoming files for technical compatibility with printer and cutter capabilities

Convert files to PDF format with properly named swatches in Adobe Illustrator

Prepare files in VersaWorks for printing and Axis Control for cutting prior to execution

Ensure cut paths, bleed, registration, and finishing specs meet production standards
Candidate Requirements
Required
-
Proven experience operating large-format machinery (UV printers, digital cutters, CNC routers, or similar equipment)

Working knowledge of Adobe Illustrator

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Confidence navigating technical manuals and documentation to resolve machine issues

Strong understanding of how various materials (paper, PVC, acrylic, aluminum composite, textiles) react to UV ink and cutting methods

Exceptional attention to detail related to color registration, cut paths, and finishing quality
Preferred

Experience operating flatbed UV printers and flatbed cutters in a production environment

Familiarity with VersaWorks, Axis Control, or similar RIP/cutter software

Experience experimenting with new substrates and optimizing workflows
Physical & Work Requirements

Ability to lift, load, and maneuver large rigid sheets and heavy rolls of media

Ability to stand for extended periods during production runs

Comfortable working around heavy machinery and production equipment

Compensation & Benefits
Hourly Pay Range: $28.00 – $38.00 per hour
Placement within the range is based on experience with large-format equipment, technical troubleshooting ability, and level of independent machine ownership.
