Job Description:
The MIP Manager is a direct report to the Director of MIP Kitchen. The MIP Manager will be responsible for overseeing day to day operations of the Kitchen, MIP Packaging, and Extraction departments. The ultimate objective of the MIP Manager is to hire, train and develop a team that can produce, package, label, and compliantly support the product needs within the S&OP process. This role requires high technical skills, experience in process development, as well as a high level of personnel management while maintaining positive employee morale and retention.
Duties/Responsibilities:

Hire, train, and develop team members to meet the product needs of the business

Produce all MIP products in accordance with the S&OP (Sales and Operations) process

Create and implement efficient manufacturing, packaging and labeling processes to increase productivity and reduce costs

Evaluate on-hand inventory and create weekly production schedules that keep appropriate par levels of all cannabis products available in inventory

Delegate production demands to supervisors and employees to meet and exceed the business needs for products in Retail and Wholesale

Implement and train on all SOPs created for manufacturing and packaging processes. Hold employees accountable to all SOPs

Establish productivity metrics for every unit produced in the MIP departments. Provide metrics to the appropriate departments/positions for cost control and production demands

Consistently improve upon current techniques to maximize efficiency

Maintain 100% accuracy of on-hand inventory

Create, produce, and store products to meet compliance standards

Receive and transfer all products with 100% compliant practices

Maintain an organized and sanitary work environment for all working and storage spaces

Utilize the METRC system to manage the product catalog, create packages, and control the movement of all inventory through its locations

Obtain the highest level of METRC training to stay 100% compliant

Implement monthly inventory audits of all cannabis and non cannabis inventory

Minimize loss and shrinkage of inventory by implementing loss prevention tactics and procedures
Required Skills/Abilities:

Computer literate (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)

Demonstrated ability to understand legal documentation and interpretation

Possess a can-do attitude, resourceful, action oriented, reliable, and a team player

Excellent communications skills as applied to internal teams, customers, vendors, and regulators

Experience improving efficiencies, identifying necessary tools, and establishing processes

An entrepreneurial spirit and motivation with flexibility and adaptability

Possess a tremendous sense of urgency, problem-solving, and organizational skills with great attention to detail

Must be 21 years of age or older with ability to obtain an MI agent registration card

Completion of state cannabis tracking (METRC) processing center training

Excellent time management, analytical skills, multi-tasking skills in a challenging environment

Ability to meet minimum physical requirements to work in a production and retail environment
Education and Experience:
-
Cannabis industry experience highly preferred

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience
-
2 years of experience in operations and processing
-
1 year of experience in a leadership position
