C1D2 Extraction Technician

JOB DESCRIPTION

The C1D2 Extraction Technician plays a pivotal role in our cannabis extraction operations, responsible for operating and maintaining C1D2 compliant extraction equipment to produce high-quality cannabis concentrates. This position requires expertise in extraction processes, strict adherence to safety protocols, and a commitment to producing consistent and potent cannabis products. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in cannabis extraction, a strong understanding of C1D2 regulations, and excellent attention to detail.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Key Responsibilities:

1. Extraction Operations:
2. • Operate C1D2 compliant extraction equipment, such as closed-loop hydrocarbon extraction systems or CO2 extraction machines, to extract cannabinoids and terpenes from cannabis biomass.
   • Monitor extraction parameters, including temperature, pressure, and flow rates, to optimize extraction efficiency and product quality.
   • Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) for extraction processes and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
3. Quality Control and Assurance:
4. • Conduct regular quality control checks on extracted concentrates to verify potency, purity, and consistency.
   • Maintain accurate records of extraction parameters and batch information to ensure traceability and compliance with regulatory requirements.
   • Troubleshoot any issues related to extraction processes and equipment to minimize downtime and maintain product quality.
5. Safety Compliance:
6. • Adhere to C1D2 safety protocols and procedures to prevent accidents, injuries, and chemical hazards in the extraction facility.
   • Conduct routine inspections of extraction equipment and ventilation systems to ensure proper functioning and compliance with safety regulations.
   • Follow proper handling and storage procedures for hazardous materials and waste generated during extraction processes.
7. Equipment Maintenance:
8. • Perform regular maintenance and cleaning of extraction equipment to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
   • Identify and report any equipment malfunctions or maintenance needs to the extraction supervisor or maintenance team.
   • Assist in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues related to extraction equipment as needed.
9. Team Collaboration:
10. • Work collaboratively with other extraction technicians and production team members to meet production goals and deadlines.
    • Communicate effectively with supervisors and colleagues to address any issues or concerns related to extraction operations.
    • Participate in training programs and knowledge sharing activities to continuously improve extraction techniques and skills.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Previous experience in cannabis extraction, preferably with C1D2 compliant equipment.
• Strong understanding of extraction principles, techniques, and equipment operation.
• Knowledge of C1D2 regulations and safety standards for cannabis extraction facilities.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow SOPs and safety protocols.
• Must be at least 21 years old and able to pass a background check.

REQUIREMENTS:

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certification in chemistry, chemical engineering, or related field is a plus.
• Flexibility to work different shifts, including evenings and weekends, as needed.
• Commitment to safety, quality, and compliance standards.
