About the Role
Our client is seeking a Transportation Project Manager for its Houston office. This role is ideal for a licensed PE with strong TxDOT project management experience, a proven transportation project delivery track record, and the ability to manage projects from proposal and scoping through final delivery.
This is a high-impact role with strong growth potential and meaningful influence over client relationships, project execution, business development, and team leadership. METRO experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Manage transportation projects through the full project lifecycle, from proposal and scoping through delivery and closeout
- Lead TxDOT PS&E project delivery in compliance with applicable standards and requirements
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients and maintain strong client relationships
- Supervise project staff and provide technical guidance throughout project execution
- Participate in proposal writing, client development, and business development efforts
- Coordinate across multiple disciplines and office locations as needed
- Support quality control, schedule management, budget oversight, and successful project delivery
Key Requirements
- Active PE license required
- Strong TxDOT project management experience required
- PS&E delivery experience required
- Full-cycle transportation project management experience, from scoping through closeout
- Proven client management and relationship-building skills
- Experience supervising, mentoring, or leading project staff
- Strong communication, coordination, and proposal-writing skills
- Experience supporting or leading business development efforts
- METRO experience preferred
