Production Control Manager II – Manufacturing
Location: Lumberton, NC
Salary: $100,000/year
Employment Solutions is seeking an experienced Production Control Manager II for a leading manufacturing company in the Lumberton area. This leadership role is responsible for overseeing material movement, production planning, scheduling, and quality functions within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The Production Control Manager will serve as a key member of the Site Leadership Team, driving operational efficiency, quality performance, and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee production planning, scheduling, and material movement to meet operational needs
- Manage PIT personnel and Quality Technicians, ensuring safety and compliance standards are met
- Build capacity plans, establish lead times, and implement planner metrics
- Drive On-Time Delivery (OTD) performance to achieve 95% or higher customer delivery rates
- Lead daily operations meetings and ensure cross-department alignment
- Develop, implement, and maintain quality management systems and control plans
- Partner with manufacturing, engineering, planning, and quality teams to achieve world-class performance
- Collaborate with suppliers on quality standards, onboarding, and issue resolution
- Promote continuous improvement initiatives through Lean, Six Sigma, and data-driven decision-making
Qualifications:
- 5 years of production planning/scheduling experience in a manufacturing environment
- 2 years leading quality systems and managing quality teams
- 2 years of supplier quality experience (including PPAP and supplier onboarding)
- Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
- Experience with ERP/MRP systems, MS Office, and data analysis for process improvement
- Lean manufacturing and/or Six Sigma experience highly preferred
- Strong leadership skills including team management, project management, and cross-functional collaboration
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work flexible hours including occasional overtime and weekends
