Employment Solutions is hiring Rewind Manufacturing Operators for immediate openings on 2nd shift in Ellington , CT. These positions are being offered on a temp-to-hire basis.
Shift: Monday–Friday 2PM-10PM
Pay: $17/hour
Location: Ellington
Schedule:
- 2nd Shift: Monday–Friday, 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM
- Training Required: Must be available to train on 1st Shift (6:00 AM – 2:00 PM) for 2–4 weeks
Position Overview
The Rewind Operator is responsible for operating rewind machines to convert large rolls into smaller finished rolls based on customer specifications. This role requires strong attention to detail to ensure product quality, accuracy, and consistency before final packaging and shipment.
This is a temp-to-hire opportunity with potential for long-term placement.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up and operate rewind machines according to job specifications
- Read and follow job tickets for roll length, core size, and positioning
- Break down large press rolls into finished customer rolls
- Inspect labels and finished rolls for quality and consistency
- Perform splicing (joining rolls) following company procedures
- Verify product IDs, core sizes, and labeling accuracy
- Package finished rolls and prepare for shipping or storage
- Communicate any quality or production issues to supervisors
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area
- Follow all company policies and safety procedures
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum 1 year of machine operation experience (printing or manufacturing preferred)
- Strong attention to detail and quality control
- Good communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Comfortable performing repetitive tasks in a production environment
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Ability to stand, bend, crouch, and perform repetitive tasks throughout the shift
