Pay: $114,000 – $130,000/year (depending on experience)
We are partnering with a well-established manufacturing company in the Lumberton area to hire an experienced Assistant Manufacturing Manager. This is a key leadership role supporting full plant operations, working directly with the Plant Manager to drive production, safety, quality, and team performance.

What You’ll Be Doing:
- Oversee daily plant operations to meet production schedules and efficiency goals
- Lead, coach, and develop supervisors and production teams
- Ensure compliance with safety policies and regulatory standards
- Monitor KPIs including output, downtime, labor efficiency, and scrap
- Identify and implement process improvements (lean manufacturing, waste reduction)
- Partner with maintenance, quality, and supply chain teams to improve operations
- Assist with budgeting, cost control, and resource planning
- Troubleshoot production issues and minimize downtime
- Support quality standards and audits
- Step in for Plant Manager when needed
What We’re Looking For:
- 10 years of manufacturing experience
- 5 years in a leadership or management role
- Strong background in plant operations, production, and team leadership
- Experience with lean manufacturing and continuous improvement
- Ability to analyze data and drive operational decisions
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Bachelor’s degree preferred (or equivalent experience)

- This role supports a large-scale operation with 180 employees
- Hands-on leadership role with regular time spent on the production floor
- Must be comfortable working in an industrial environment (noise, machinery, temperature changes)
- PPE required (steel-toe boots, safety gear, etc.)
