Our client is a workforce solutions company based out of Manassas, VA. The Information Technology Intern (IT Intern) will support software/hardware, troubleshooting, helpdesk functions, and system support to ensure the organization remains technologically current and fully supported.
This is an onsite contract position in Fairfax, VA, paying $20–$21 per hour.
Responsibilities
- Provide software and hardware support, troubleshooting, and helpdesk assistance for end users.
- Support, troubleshoot, and replace systems across the portfolio.
- Assist with the management of Microsoft 365 cloud environment, including Office, Teams, and SharePoint.
- Create, update, and terminate user accounts in Active Directory and supporting applications.
- Support end users with daily troubleshooting of PCs, mobile devices, printers, and peripherals.
- Configure devices for secure operation, including software updates and security installations.
- Use ticketing system (Service Now) to manage user requests.
- Maintain accurate inventory of IT assets.
- Provide training documentation and end user training as needed.
- Assist with configuration and improvement of IT systems across portfolios.
- Travel to remote properties in Northern Virginia to provide onsite support as needed.
Qualifications
- Associate’s degree in Information Technology or related field.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft 365 and current network technologies.
- Some experience with Active Directory.
- Support experience with workstations, software, and peripherals.
- Ability to work independently and within a team.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to assist with network, server, and VOIP telephony.
- Willingness to be onsite at all times to provide support.
- Willingness to travel to remote properties.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Attention to detail, self-motivated, and proactive.
