Job Purpose
GCubed Inc. offers a very limited internship program for highly qualified individuals. This program will give the chosen candidate the opportunity to get hands-on experience on-site at one of the government contracts we service. The program seeks a self-directed IT intern with a passion for technology, collaboration, and creative problem-solving. The intern will actively contribute to meaningful projects and work directly with the IT department. It will also give the chosen individual an opportunity to acquire an active security clearance, something that is crucial for work in the world of government contracting
Essential Functions of the Job
• Support the IT department in maintaining hardware, software, and other systems
• Assist with troubleshooting issues and provide technical support
• Organize and maintain IT resources
• Lend IT support in areas such as cybersecurity, programming, analytics, and data center management
Qualifications:
Required Qualifications
• Computer Science, Information Technology, or Management Information Systems major
• Microsoft Office – Word, PowerPoint, Excel
• Must successfully complete a stringent Background Investigation and obtain the required Government Security Clearance
Preferred Qualifications
• Familiarity working in Agile / SCRUM Development environments
• Some familiarity with Java, C , .NET, JavaScript or HTML/DHTML or other programming languages
• Familiarity with AWS and Azure Cloud Environments
• Networking and virtual infrastructure management
• Configuration Management
• Strong verbal and written communication
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work well in teams
• Strong work ethic and attention to detail
Working Conditions
Primarily in an office environment. Will be expected to travel as needed to company subsidiaries or contract locations. Periodic weekend or evening work is expected.
Physical Requirements
Must be able to lift 35 pounds. The physical demands are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
