Position: Scale Service Technician & Trainee

Location: Honolulu, Hawaii

Pay: $25 to $30 per hour, depending on skill level and experience

Experience: Mechanical or electronics repair experience preferred; trainees welcome

Education: Electronics or Applied Science degree preferred (not required)

Type: Full-time; Contract

Schedule

• Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM
• Training period may include part-time or varied hours
• Overtime and schedule adjustments as needed based on service calls and travel

Job Description

• Install, calibrate, maintain, and repair commercial and industrial scale systems
• Troubleshoot mechanical and electronic issues including motors, wiring, and control boards
• Read and interpret electronic schematics and technical diagrams
• Use diagnostic tools such as multimeters to identify and resolve issues
• Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on equipment
• Document service work, repairs, and calibration results
• Travel to customer sites to perform service calls (company vehicle provided once certified)
• Ensure all work meets safety and compliance standards
• Communicate clearly with customers regarding service and findings
• Participate in training and certification programs to advance technical skills
  
  

Position Requirements

Hard Skills:

• Mechanical and/or electronic troubleshooting experience preferred
• Hands-on experience with motors, electrical components, or similar equipment
• Ability to read schematics and trace circuits
• Familiarity with hand tools and diagnostic equipment (multimeter, etc.)
• Ability to complete service documentation and reports

• Dependable, punctual, and safety-focused
• Ability to work independently in the field

• Willingness to learn, certify, and grow within the role
  
  

Additional Details

• Training schedule may vary based on skill level and certification progress
• Transition to full-time (40 hours/week) upon certification
