Assistant Maintenance Supervisor

Please note: This role is not remote. Applicants must be able to commute to the job location as required.

Position: Assistant Maintenance Supervisor

Location: Kihei, HI

Pay: $64,480/year

Experience: Basic maintenance, property management, or supervisory experience. (No electrical or major plumbing experience is required.)

Education: High school diploma or equivalent; relevant certifications are preferred but not required.

Type: Full-time; Direct Hire

Schedule: Friday - Tuesday, 6:30am to 3:00pm

Employers Options is seeking an Assistant Maintenance Supervisor to join a growing and dynamic team!

Job Description:

• Monitor the Manager’s phone on weekends and respond to calls as needed, logging time for overtime.
• Maintain contact with utility staff to ensure daily and special tasks are completed efficiently.
• Perform routine and emergency maintenance of equipment, including pool pumps, ventilation fans, grills, and motors.
• Prepare and maintain pool areas, including chemical balance testing.
• Maintain accurate logs of unit entries, waste backups, elevator service, and other property-related activities.
• Observe and report safety, maintenance issues, and suspicious activity on the property.
• Enforce House Rules and maintain a positive demeanor with residents, guests, and contractors.
  
  

Position Requirements:

• Valid Driver’s License.
• Pool Operator Certification is required (our client is willing to pay for the certification if the applicant is not yet certified).
• Strong command of the English language and excellent communication skills.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs. and work at heights or in confined spaces.
• Knowledge of general carpentry, electrical, plumbing, and irrigation systems.
• Ability to multitask and follow detailed instructions.
• Reliable, organized, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
