Job Title: Warehouse Supervisor
Location: Charleston, SC
Hire Type: Full-Time
Pay: 70,000 – 75,000
Shift: Monday – Friday (6:00 am to 2:30 PM or 7 AM to 3:30 PM)
Position Overview
The Warehouse Supervisor provides leadership, direction, and support to warehouse personnel, ensuring consistent execution, operational efficiency, and adherence to company policies. The Warehouse Supervisor will monitor daily workflow, maintain inventory accuracy, enforce safety and compliance standards, and support continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise, train, and continuously develop Warehouse staff and teams
- Compile and issue reports including inventory, dead stock, goods age, and consumption
- Monitor quantity and quality of commodities stored
- Conduct regular physical warehouse checks and cycle counts
- Maintain housekeeping standards for the warehouse and surrounding areas
- Assess space availability and prepare stacking/storage plans for incoming materials
- Work closely with the Warehouse Manager to ensure materials are received and inventoried accurately and cost-effectively
- Communicate proactively with Warehouse and Production Managers regarding material issues that may affect shipping schedules
- Establish and maintain proper stock levels to meet customer service needs
- Oversee transactions related to materials availability and open order accuracy
- Ensure and maintain compliance with QMS, EMS, and OSHA safety and regulatory standards
- Address quality issues related to warehouse operations as needed
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and participate in safety committee meetings
Requirements
- High School diploma or GED required
- Minimum 3 years of experience in assembly, manufacturing, or warehouse operations
- Minimum 4 years of supervisory experience required
- Proven experience with SAP is essential
- Strong understanding of cycle counting methods and inventory processes
- Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing and logistics principles
- Strong analytical and supply chain problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in MS Office, Outlook, and SAP
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a non-climate-controlled environment
