Reach Truck Operator/Order Picker

Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Reach Truck Operator/Order Picker to join our fast-paced warehouse team. In this role, you will be responsible for efficiently selecting, packing, and preparing orders for shipment using specialized equipment such as reach trucks, forklifts, and pallet jacks. Your expertise in warehouse management systems and inventory control will ensure accurate order fulfillment and smooth warehouse operations. Monday-Friday

8:30am-5:00pm

$18 Hr

If you know to drive turret we pay $19 hr

Duties

• Operate reach trucks, forklifts, pallet jacks, and other heavy equipment safely to pick, load, unload, and transport materials within the warehouse.
• Use barcode scanning technology and warehouse management systems (WMS) to accurately locate and select items for order fulfillment.
• Perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting, packing, and stacking to prepare products for shipping or storage.
• Conduct inventory management activities such as stock counting, cycle counts, and updating inventory records within the system.
• Ensure all safety protocols are followed diligently by wearing personal protective equipment (PPE) and adhering to warehouse safety procedures.
• Assist with shipping and receiving processes by loading outbound shipments and verifying incoming stock against purchase orders.
• Maintain a clean, organized workspace to promote efficient warehouse distribution and prevent accidents or damage.

Qualifications

• Proven experience operating reach trucks, forklifts, pallet jacks, or other heavy equipment in a warehouse setting.
• Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS), RF scanners, barcode scanning technology, and inventory management systems.
• Strong understanding of order picking & packing procedures, shipping & receiving operations, and materials handling best practices.
• Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting with proper technique to ensure safety.
• Basic math skills for counting, measuring, and verifying quantities accurately.
• Prior experience in warehouse operations or distribution centers is highly desirable.
• Commitment to safety protocol adherence and use of personal protective equipment (PPE).

Pay: $18.00 - $19.00 per hour
