Job description:
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Cashier to join our team at our busy wine and liquor store. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a strong understanding of retail operations, and the ability to provide exceptional customer service. As a Cashier, you will be responsible for processing transactions accurately and efficiently while ensuring a positive shopping experience for our customers.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and assist them with their purchases.
- Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system to process transactions.
- Handle cash, credit, and debit transactions with accuracy.
- Maintain knowledge of store promotions and products to effectively upsell items.
- Answer customer inquiries and provide information about products or services.
- Stock shelves and assist in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the checkout area.
- Some light cleaning
Experience
- Previous experience as a Cashier or in retail sales is preferred but not required.
- Strong communication skills with an emphasis on phone etiquette.
- Basic math skills for accurate transaction processing and change calculation.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
YOU MUST:
-Have superior customer service
-Be able to lift 40 lbs consecutively for an entire shift
-Have a flexible schedule with the ability to work a weekend shift
-A willingness to learn more about the products

Expected hours: 6.0 – 24.0 per week
