Facilities Maintenance Technician

Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Facilities Maintenance Technician to join our dynamic facilities management team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal operation, safety, and maintenance of building systems and equipment across our facilities. Your expertise will support the seamless functioning of our environment, contributing to a safe and efficient workspace for all employees and visitors. The ideal candidate will possess a broad skill set encompassing mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and building interior maintenance, with a strong focus on customer service and safety compliance.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on facilities equipment, including HVAC systems, electrical panels, plumbing systems, and mechanical components.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical equipment using schematics, ohmmeters, and other diagnostic tools.
• Conduct HVAC system repairs and maintenance to ensure optimal climate control within the facility.
• Carry out plumbing repairs and maintenance, including pipe repairs, fixture replacements, and system troubleshooting.
• Utilize hand tools and power tools for carpentry, painting, welding, and general repairs to maintain building interior aesthetics and functionality.
• Read and interpret technical schematics and mechanical drawings to facilitate accurate repairs and installations.
• Maintain facilities equipment inventory following maintenance, repair, and operations (MRO) standards.
• Lead or assist with small-scale projects involving electrical work, carpentry, or HVAC upgrades while adhering to safety protocols.
• Provide excellent customer service by addressing maintenance requests promptly and professionally.
• Support safety initiatives by ensuring all work complies with relevant codes and regulations.

Experience

• Proven experience in facilities maintenance or a related field with a strong understanding of mechanical systems.
• Knowledge of programmable logic controllers (PLCs), electrical systems, HVAC systems, plumbing systems, and building interior maintenance.
• Skilled in the use of hand tools, schematics reading, electrical equipment repair, welding techniques, and maintenance painting.
• Familiarity with maintenance procedures involving electrical work, plumbing repair, carpentry tasks, and HVAC system troubleshooting.
• Experience working with electrical equipment repair tools such as ohmmeters; knowledge of schematics is essential.
• Demonstrated ability to lead or collaborate within a team environment while maintaining high standards of safety and quality.
• Strong communication skills in English to effectively document work orders and interact with team members or clients.

Pay: $23.00 - $25.00 per hour
