Empire Screen Printing has 1 opening for a Punch Press Operator (Hard Tool) on first shift.
FIRST SHIFT: Monday-Thursday 5:25am -3:30pm

Empire is a family-owned, award-winning business that prides itself on using environmentally-friendly print methods. Empire is a full-service company in OEM and POP markets, producing overlays, vinyl decals, crystal-line domes, nameplates, magnets, and roll labels, using UV LED and UV screening, digital and flexographic printing.
JOB SUMMARY:
The Hard Tool Operator will set-up, run and inspect printed parts using a variety of cutting equipment. Operators will be responsible for the safe operation of punch press/hard tool equipment making sure they are working at full capacity, stocked with needed materials, and well-maintained.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for the quality of the product produced, must ensure parts manufactured meet all quality standards expected. Measure parts accurately with a variety of measuring tools.
- Be willing to continuously help improve production methods and increase efficiency
- Follow and complete work ticket documentation, interact with supervisor to clarify processes and customer material specifications
- Examine completed work for defects and notify lead/management of recurring equipment malfunction and/or poor quality of raw materials
- Records and maintains accurate printed product and reject counts, ensuring output matches work order requirements
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:
- Ability to accurately read a ruler
- Basic math skills
- Must have excellent attendance and work well with others in a cooperative team environment
- Must be detail-oriented
- Must be quality focused to achieve the desired quality of the job
- Computer literate
- Positive attitude
- Must have a safety-conscious behavior
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:
- Knowledge of common materials involved in screen printing
- Die Cutting experience
- Familiarity with blueprint reading, DXF, and AI files
- Experience with CAD design
